Reflection
In my blog, I connected each entry into a topic that I have learned this year in various different classes. For each entry, I connected the post to at least 1 subject in school and could connect my thoughts in my blog to at least 1 ATL skill.
Mandala: In this blog entry, I connected my blog entry to school subjects art and a foreign language. I connected these 2 subjects with my mandala by seeing art and a theme in nature and a foreign language because this mandala itself is its own language, something new to learn but once you find it out, you can always get it and understand it. The ATL skill that I used in this entry is thinking. I used thinking in this post because I had to think about the subjects that I could use in this entry.
Forest Bathing: I connected this blog entry to P.E and science in this entry. I connected P.E to this entry by talking about the great health benefits that forest bathing has and how P.E, its all about being healthy. I also connected this to science by showing everything that you can find outside that directly relates to science. An ATL skill that I used during this post is self-management. When I was outside forest bathing, I had to use self-management when going outside to stay calm and stay true to the topic of forest bathing.
Circles in Nature: I connected this topic to math and art. You can see art in these circles by the distinct lines, color, and/or texture. Each of these topics directly relate back to art. I also connected this to math because when you find a circle and nature and want to know what size the circle is so you can put it in a certain place, you need to measure it using math. An example of this is a wood table top that you would need to measure in nature. An ATL skill that I used in this topic is communication. I had to communicate my thoughts into this blog while talking about each topic and when just talking about my thoughts.
Mary Oliver Poem: I connected this topic to George Washington's surprise attack on Trenton during the battle of Trenton. This poem and this great historical point in the War for Independance go hand in hand with the same plot of a surprise attack and it is very connected with the same events and a potential same theme. An ATL skill that I had to use for the post was thinking but more specifically creative thinking. I used this skill by being able to connect these 2 events that happened so far apart.
