Forest Bathing

       The Japanese have invented a new way to absorb nature. It Japan, this technique is called Shinrin-yoku, in America this means forest bathing. The idea of forest bathing is "If a person simply visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way there are calming, rejuvenating, and restorative benefits to be achieved." I have tried forest bathing myself and it was very relaxing. My class and I went outside to the Signal Mountain Middle High School Outdoor Classroom and we were completely still. We absorbed nature and didn't have any distractions. I would recommend this for anyone who loves P.E or science.

       Forest bathing has a lot of health benefits and so anyone would likes P.E (physical education) and likes to live a healthy life style would love forest bathing. The goal of forest bathing is to maintain good health by just going outside and being relaxed. So take a break from your workout and go forest bathing for good health benefits.

       Science is present in nature anywhere and forest bathing will get you outside to observe nature. Maybe if you were outside, you could see with your own eyes things such as competition between plants for sunlight, you could look at how animals react when different things happen, and you could even observe plants for data. All of these things could be found when you go outside and go hands on  and experiment science with your own eyes all while in the forest.

       The Japanese technique Shinrin-yoku or other wise known as forest bathing has a lot of health benefits and can be involved with people who love P.E and science and it has a lot of health benefits. All of these reasons are why you should go outside. If you can live longer and have good quality years health wise, why wouldn't you do it?
